Responsibilities

  • Translate UNEP stories, releases, speeches and publications from English into French
  • Proofread and update content on UNEP’s French-language website
  • Review French website sections and identify content requiring revision
  • Develop and execute social-media plans for French-speaking audiences
  • Translate video, graphic and social content into French
  • Manage French-language social channels and engage their audiences
  • Analyse channel performance and adapt content strategy to improve reach
  • Support French-language outreach and requests from UNEP’s Executive Director

Requirements

  • Education or specialisation in journalism, communication, linguistic studies, translation or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of social media for strategic communication
  • Outstanding French writing and editing skills
  • Full command of English
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
