Creates a pre-selected roster of child protection consultants to provide technical support to UNICEF Nicaragua in development or humanitarian settings. Assignments may cover violence prevention, child rights, gender, mental health, birth registration, positive parenting and community protection systems.

Department: Protección de la Niñez

• Provide technical support to UNICEF Nicaragua in child protection consultancy assignments
• Support prevention and response to violence, including gender-based violence
• Contribute to child rights, gender, positive masculinities and prevention of early unions work
• Support mental health, positive parenting, birth registration and special protection services
• Work with child protection systems, community networks and adolescent or youth networks
• Prepare technical reports and use data and indicators for child protection work

• Advanced university degree in Law, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Pedagogy, Social Work, Health Sciences or another science related to child protection
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in one of the fields listed in the profile
• Experience in child protection programmes, safeguarding, gender, violence prevention, social programmes, child protection systems, capacity strengthening, community networks or adolescent and youth networks
• Spanish expression, writing and drafting skills

• Roster valid for 36 months
• Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee immediate participation or future contractual relationships
• Location is remote work with possible field travel depending on the specific assignment
• Duration and expected results vary by consultancy assignment
