Community Engagement Specialist

Integrates community engagement and programme communications into FAO mine-action and land-rehabilitation work in Kharkiv, translating technical guidance for farmers, mobilising communities, coordinating outreach products, documenting feedback and contributing engagement data to project and donor reporting.

Department: Mine Action and Land Rehabilitation Programme

• Translate agronomic, land-rehabilitation and survey information into accessible guidance for farmers
• Develop community outreach materials, video scripts, brochures and social media content
• Design engagement sessions using behaviour-change communication principles
• Coordinate communication inputs, review cycles and production timelines across programme units
• Mobilise communities for surveys, assessments, workshops, training and field visits
• Document community feedback, lessons and concerns for adaptive programme management
• Contribute engagement results and beneficiary data to project, indicator and donor reporting

• University degree in communications, journalism, development studies, rural development, agriculture, social sciences or a related field
• At least three years of relevant experience in programme communications, community engagement, behaviour-change communication or humanitarian or development implementation
• Working knowledge of English at FAO Level C or native level
• Working knowledge of Ukrainian at FAO Level C or native level
• Ukrainian nationality
