Communications Coordinator

Coordinates communication activities for FAO's Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia. The role manages regional communication planning, media relations, digital content, web and social media work, and communication-team coordination.

Department: Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia

• Prepare and maintain the Regional Office communication and engagement plan
• Evaluate communication and advocacy impact under the regional communication strategy
• Guide technical units, project teams and communication focal points on visibility and communication outputs
• Manage regional news development, press releases, website content and social media channels
• Draft, edit and produce communication products, media assets and promotional material
• Plan and lead photo and video reportage missions for regional visibility
• Coordinate the regional communication team, recruitment processes and editorial committee work

• Advanced university degree from an IAU/UNESCO-recognised institution in communications, journalism, international relations or a related field
• Consultants with a bachelor's degree need 2 additional years of relevant professional experience
• Five years of relevant experience in communications, journalism or related fields
• Working knowledge of English
