Responsibilities

• Research water security challenges, sector reforms, investment priorities and engagement opportunities across West Africa and the Sahel
• Review World Bank Group, donor and government programmes for alignment with WRG priorities
• Assess opportunities and barriers for private sector participation in irrigation, water reuse, utility modernisation, climate resilience and water infrastructure
• Analyse policy, regulatory, institutional and financing conditions affecting water sector investments
• Map government, donor, private sector, financier, civil society and academic stakeholders
• Participate in meetings and consultations with World Bank colleagues and external stakeholders
• Contribute to a West Africa engagement strategy with country prioritisation and thematic focus areas
• Prepare a document and presentation outlining one country for WRG engagement
