The officer leads UNICEF Nepal's ICT function, manages digital service delivery and supports Technology for Development initiatives that strengthen programme delivery and results for children.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ICT infrastructure, networks, telecommunications and enterprise technology platforms
  • Ensure effective ICT service delivery, technical support, system availability and business continuity
  • Strengthen information security, risk management, system maintenance and compliance
  • Support digital solutions and Technology for Development initiatives
  • Lead and supervise ICT personnel with technical guidance and capacity building
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on ICT priorities, innovation and collaboration

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology management, business administration or a related social science field
  • At least one year of professional work experience in information technology management and business operations in a large international organisation or corporation
  • Work experience in a UN organisation
  • Hands-on experience managing WANs, including Meraki networks
  • Experience deploying Microsoft Windows platforms and productivity products
  • Technical knowledge of video conferencing systems such as Polycoms
  • Certification or proven experience in at least one ICT technical competency such as ICT project management, business analytics, information security, ICT audit and risk management, telecommunications, networks information security or software engineering and programming
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali
