Overview

Oversees financial integrity, analytical accounting, risk management and administrative services for ICRC field operations, advising project teams and managing finance, premises, travel and sustainability activities during mobile deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Finance Department on budgets, forecasts, risk reporting, cost control and statutory compliance
  • Advise, train and coach humanitarian project teams on financial and economic matters
  • Develop contingency measures for critical changes in operating context
  • Implement institutional guidelines and policies while mitigating financial risks
  • Act as finance interface with authorities, suppliers, banks and commercial parties
  • Provide forecasts and budget data for tactical and strategic decision-making
  • Oversee financial management, premises maintenance and security arrangements for staff
  • Lead sustainability measures with technical departments and headquarters

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent in economics, business administration, finance or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant experience in business management, financial control, analysis or audit, preferably in an international or humanitarian context
  • Exposure to multicultural environments or overseas assignments
  • Experience supervising, motivating, mentoring and upskilling staff
  • Professional proficiency at C1 level in English and French

  • Professional certification in fraud prevention, accounting or project management
  • Digital proficiency in Power BI, data analytics or business analytics techniques
  • Office management experience
