Macroeconomic Work Intern

This internship supports the Namibia and Botswana country teams with macroeconomic monitoring and public finance analysis, including regular economic updates and contributions to the Botswana and Namibia Public Finance Reviews aimed at improving fiscal sustainability and expenditure efficiency.

• Support production of biannual macroeconomic notes for the Spring and Annual Meetings
• Update macroeconomic databases and draft policy briefs for government counterparts
• Contribute to the Botswana Public Finance Review, including development of the BOOST fiscal database
• Support the wage bill audit and revenue mobilisation analysis for Botswana
• Assist the Namibia Public Finance Review by preparing notes on priority fiscal areas
• Review inputs from team members and support finalisation of Public Finance Review reports
• Prepare presentations summarising Public Finance Review findings
