Team Leader (Quality Management)

Leads quality management and assurance for safeguards analytical services, maintaining ISO certification, strengthening laboratory quality controls and managing LIMS and laboratory IT projects.

Department: Quality Management Team

• Lead the Quality Management Team and manage resources for timely service delivery
• Plan and oversee workflows for effective team productivity
• Maintain the Office quality management system and external ISO 9001 certification
• Guide internal quality assurance and quality control at Safeguards Analytical Laboratories
• Design and assess NWAL laboratory intercomparisons and quality assurance measures
• Coordinate Member State Support Programme tasks for NWAL quality assurance
• Report on safeguards sample analysis quality and recommend use of laboratories
• Manage LIMS development and laboratory IT infrastructure projects

• Advanced university degree in analytical chemistry, applied nuclear physics or a related field, or a first-level university degree in those fields with two additional years of relevant work experience
• Minimum seven years of experience in technical project and quality management in a national or international organization, preferably in the nuclear field
• Experience designing, maintaining or auditing quality management systems according to international standards in a laboratory setting
• Experience managing, developing and mentoring staff or project teams
• Excellent oral and written command of English

• Fixed-term regular appointment for 36 months
• Probation period of one year
