Senior Protection Associate (Outreach)

IOM Libya seeks a Senior Protection Associate to support outreach and community-based protection activities under the Voluntary Humanitarian Return (VHR) programme for migrants along the Central Mediterranean Route. The role supervises outreach team members, liaises with embassies and stakeholders, and ensures protection-sensitive engagement.

Department: AVM Programme / Protection (PxD)

• Plan, implement and monitor outreach activities in migrant communities across Libya
• Identify and refer migrants to VHR assistance in accordance with established procedures
• Arrange meetings with embassies, community leaders and migrant groups on VHR procedures
• Supervise Outreach team members and monitor performance
• Support staff development through coaching and training
• Provide operational feedback on protection trends and risks to PxD management

• University degree from an accredited institution in Political/Social Sciences, Development Studies, Social Work, Human Rights, International Relations or related field
