Responsibilities
- Monitor and oversee financial management for country-office and liaison-office activities
- Supervise treasury management, cash-flow forecasting and funds control
- Coordinate budgets, donor financial reports, budget control and variance analysis
- Support project managers on compliance with IOM instructions in administration, finance and human resources
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
- Validate payroll allocation against project budgets
- Ensure implementing-partner compliance and timely financial verification
- Follow up audit reports and implementation of audit recommendations
- Support risk assessment, monitoring and mitigation guidance
- Manage human resources, procurement, logistics and administrative support functions
- Supervise finance staff in sub-offices and provide capacity building to staff
Requirements
- Master degree in finance, accounting, business administration, management or a related field with five years of relevant professional experience, or university degree with seven years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in financial and human resources management at an international level
- Field experience, including coordination and cooperation with international institutions and coordination bodies
- Experience supervising administrative control procedures and coordinating external audit exercises
- Experience using corporate IT systems and software
- Fluency in English
