Responsibilities

  • Monitor and oversee financial management for country-office and liaison-office activities
  • Supervise treasury management, cash-flow forecasting and funds control
  • Coordinate budgets, donor financial reports, budget control and variance analysis
  • Support project managers on compliance with IOM instructions in administration, finance and human resources
  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
  • Validate payroll allocation against project budgets
  • Ensure implementing-partner compliance and timely financial verification
  • Follow up audit reports and implementation of audit recommendations
  • Support risk assessment, monitoring and mitigation guidance
  • Manage human resources, procurement, logistics and administrative support functions
  • Supervise finance staff in sub-offices and provide capacity building to staff

Requirements

  • Master degree in finance, accounting, business administration, management or a related field with five years of relevant professional experience, or university degree with seven years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in financial and human resources management at an international level
  • Field experience, including coordination and cooperation with international institutions and coordination bodies
  • Experience supervising administrative control procedures and coordinating external audit exercises
  • Experience using corporate IT systems and software
  • Fluency in English
