Programme Coordinator – Central Asia

The coordinator leads TRAFFIC’s Central Asia wildlife-trade portfolio, supervising multi-country delivery and staff, integrating conservation priorities, mobilising donor funding, shaping advocacy and policy engagement, representing TRAFFIC and building partnerships with governments and regional institutions.

• Oversee the Central Asia project portfolio and institutional development
• Supervise multi-country delivery, risks, compliance and adaptive management
• Lead programme planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
• Develop donor opportunities, concept notes and funding proposals
• Shape regional wildlife-trade advocacy and policy engagement
• Represent TRAFFIC and build government, donor and partner relationships

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in environmental policy, conservation, natural-resource management, international development or a related field
• At least seven years of international programme-management experience, particularly in Central Asia
• Fundraising and proposal-development experience
• Excellent written and spoken English

• Fixed-term appointment up to twelve months with possible renewal
• Location may be a TRAFFIC office in Central Asia, Europe or the United Kingdom
