National Consultant to Support MoES with Math and Geometry TLM Development

Provides technical support to Tajikistan's Ministry of Education and Science on developing, piloting and institutionalising competency-based Grade 7 and 8 Math and Geometry teaching and learning materials.

• Support development, piloting, finalisation and institutionalisation of Grade 7 and 8 Math and Geometry TLMs
• Ensure coherence across curriculum, continuous professional learning and assessment workstreams
• Advise on competency-based education principles for Math and Geometry materials
• Develop student-centred materials that promote critical thinking, literacy, communication and inclusion
• Coordinate with TLM, CPL and assessment teams
• Guide policy discussions with national counterparts
• Support MoES and affiliated institutions during Phase II education reform work

• University degree in education, Math and Geometry, applied math, pedagogy or a related field focused on Math and Geometry teacher preparation, professional development, competency-based education, technology or blended learning
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Math and Geometry education at policy, management and operational levels
• Documented experience working with MoES and affiliated institutions on CBE-aligned curriculum, TLMs, learning assessment or teacher development
• Previous experience in the current education reform, specifically revising Math and Geometry TLMs with MoES
• Proficiency in Tajik and Russian

• Remote national consultancy for 13 months
