ICT and Security Assistant

The assistant delivers ICT, network, information security and physical security support for UN Women Ecuador, maintaining systems, assets, emergency equipment and user services.

• Implement ICT strategies, standards, work planning and asset management
• Provide first-level technical support and maintain ICT equipment and applications
• Monitor network performance, user access, backups and information security measures
• Support telecommunications, intranet, collaborative platforms, meetings and training
• Maintain office safety, security and emergency equipment readiness
• Support security plans, risk monitoring, incident response and inter-agency coordination

• Completion of secondary education is required
• Cisco Certified Network Engineer and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Microsoft Certified Professional certification are required, or must be obtained within six months
• At least five years of experience in network administration and use of hardware, software and telecommunications facilities is required
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required

• Contract duration is six months with possible extension
