Overview

This UNV Online Volunteer supports UN Women Uzbekistan's new communications function through media monitoring and social media content production. The 12-week assignment includes support for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Uzbek and Russian-language news outlets, Telegram channels and social media accounts weekly using an agreed keyword list
  • Prepare media coverage reports for selected major events, verifying links and using the office standard reporting format
  • Contribute ideas and formats during content planning sessions
  • Draft social media captions in English and Russian, including adaptations of approved web and programme content
  • Design visual assets in Canva using templates and branding guidance, such as data cards, quote cards and story layouts
  • Support planning and content production for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign

Requirements

  • Experience in content production and coordination for digital platforms and campaigns
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Working knowledge of Canva and template-based design
  • Ability to meet fixed campaign deadlines with consistent, detailed reporting
