Responsibilities

  • Support compliance of HR activities with UN and UNDP rules, policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain HR dashboards, reports, process maps and internal communications on HR policies and procedures
  • Support recruitment processes, vacancy notices, candidate tracking, interviews and candidate file verification
  • Manage administrative follow-up for contracts, renewals, separations, benefits, leave records and HR transactions in Quantum
  • Maintain confidential physical and electronic personnel files and staff lists
  • Support onboarding, access, badges, departure procedures and end-of-service certification
  • Assist performance management, annual training plans, learning events and staff development records
  • Provide administrative support to salary surveys, service-condition studies, audits and HR services for other UN organisations in Niger

Requirements

  • Secondary education is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Public Administration or an equivalent field will be considered but is not required
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience with secondary education, or two years with a bachelor's degree, in human resources or administration at national or international level
  • Proven experience using office tools such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and web-based management systems
  • Good knowledge of administrative processes for personnel management, including recruitment, contract management, payroll and leave management
  • Fluency in French and at least one national language is required
